Until the first clue drops on March 11, this and all my other gnome patterns are 25% off with the code “GnomeDePlume”!
Gnancy and Gnicholas and all the other gnomes invite you to create a brand gnew gnome friend to join them!
Gnatalie is gnome around the world as a pre-eminent author of gardening advice, and her “Toadstools for Everyday” and “Fungus, Flowers, and Fun” are both Gnew York Times bestsellers.
How does it work?
How the gnome looks is a mystery – that’s the whole point! But I can tell you you’ll get a new hat and a new beard design, and that if you like my other gnomes you’ll find this one a happy addition to your collection.
Every few days you’ll receive a new clue – the next piece of the pattern.
- Mar 11 – first clue
- Mar 16 – second clue
- Mar 20 – third clue
- March 25 – last clue
- April 9 – last day to enter your finished gnome for a chance to win a prize
- April 11 – prize announcements
(Want to get gnoming already? Use code “GnomeDePlume” for 25% off all my other gnome patterns!)
Don’t be! It’s just knitting. 😆 Plus every clue has one or more video tutorials to help you. Join us in the KAL thread in the Imagined Landscapes Ravelry group to ask questions and show your progress. I’ll also be doing sessions on Instagram Live to answer questions.
What do I need?
You’ll need yarn, needles, stuffing, poly pellets, and a sense of adventure.
When you buy the pattern you’ll get a document with all the information you need before casting on… a materials list including yardage amounts for fingering weight yarn, colour recommendations, gauge info, and more.
4 awesome dyers have seen the gnome and concocted sets of colours for you to order. Check out their mini-skein combos and order soon to have the yarns before we start!
If ordering from these dyers please note that you will may still need to supply 5 yd. / 5m of yarn for nose/hands.
During the KAL, I’ll be randomly drawing coupons for free patterns from my Ravelry shop from people using #GnomeMKAL on Instagram and posting in the KAL thread.
There are 4 random prizes and and 1 special prize. To win one of the 5 grand prizes, the process is simple:
Simply finish the gnome and post a picture in the “Gnome de Plume MKAL FOs” thread. If you decide to make more than one Gnome de Plume in the KAL period you can enter them for additional entries.
4 grand prizes donated by the dyers will be randomly drawn from the “Gnome de Plume MKAL FOs” thread. And in a non-random draw, 1 grand prize from me will be given for creativity. Stage a great photo. Tell a funny story about your gnome. I adore the way people have had fun with my other patterns by setting up little scenes, telling stories, and otherwise making gnomes something that makes the world grin.
