Gnandad set out on a long adventure around the gnome world last Gnomevember. Will he make it home in time for Longest Gnight? And who are these friends he has written to say he’s invited?

I love creating joy and anticipation during winter’s dark days. Preparing secrets for you makes me so happy. The December gnome countdown knitalong has become a treasured part of the year.
The gnomes of the Grimblewoods celebrate Longest Gnight on the 21st, and we will take our cue from them. You’ll get 21 updates during December from Dec 1-21.
Some days, you’ll open the update to find a clue to knit. The other days will bring part of our charming story, special treats, or a recipe or two for traditional gnomish delights.
There will be video tutorials for all the parts I think you might want help with. I want this to be all joy, no worries.
This year I'm designing Gnandad with a special accessory - little skis. You can order them from some dyers, or you can source your own set by buying wooden craft sticks (aka popsicle sticks). Having the skis is not required, but Gnandad sure does look special with them!
YARN
I'm using 4 wonderful colours from Little Squirrel Yarns and The Loopy Ewe.
I’ve designed Gnandad so that he and Gnana complement each other and they look coordinated in their festive garments. I’ve used one new colour from last year, swapping out red for green, but you can be as similar or different as you like.
