Gnandad set out on a long adventure around the gnome world last Gnomevember. Will he make it home in time for Longest Gnight? And who are these friends he has written to say he’s invited?

I love creating joy and anticipation during winter’s dark days. Preparing secrets for you makes me so happy. The December gnome countdown knitalong has become a treasured part of the year.


There are 3 ways to take part in the December gnome event:

     1) supplying your own yarn

     2) purchasing the goodie countdown kits and/or yarn sets from The Loopy Ewe or The Flying Squirrel & Feisty Fibres right now (see below)

     3) buying yarn kits from dyers around the world in November


What’s happening now? Aug 7-21

Every year I coordinate with The Loopy Ewe to create yarn sets, but also special count-down packages. This year I’ve added a Canadian source as well. Welcome to Feisty Fibers and The Flying Squirrel!

To give these businesses a chance to prepare the custom items, wrap and number the 12 little goodies, and ship them, they need to have preorders now, in August.

What are these Goodie Kits? They are specially selected treats and custom items, chosen specifically to give you a charming experience. During the December gnome knitalong, I will tell you when to open the 12 packages, adding an extra layer of anticipation and fun to your month.

This year I'm designing Gnandad with a special accessory - little skis. You can order them during the presales now, or you can source your own set by buying wooden craft sticks (aka popsicle sticks). Having the skis is not required, but Gnandad sure does look special with them!

You have multiple options to preorder. Be careful to read what is all included. You may need to add several items to your cart to get everything you want.
