Profesor Fungi
Professor Gortabello Fungi lives behind a little round door in a shady cave made comfy by an impressive assortment of pillows, carpets, and several adorable pets.
Undergrowth University supplies the housing right on campus so that professors are less likely to wander off in the forest on the way to class. Professor Fungi’s research focuses on how tree roots communicate and share resources.
Professor Fungi is knit from the bottom up. Short rows tip the cap back a little to frame his face in the rays from the gills of his cap.
The professor uses two kinds of colourwork. On the body, textured mosaic is achieved through slipped sts and uses only 1 colour per round. The pops of colour on the cap are achieved through stranded knitting using 2 colours per round.
