Once I designed the Wee Evergreens pattern, I couldn’t get the idea of knitting a deciduous tree out of my head. And once I had the idea of adding little apples, I just knew it had to come to life.
The use of a few, simple pleat-stitch rounds has a huge impact on creating the leafy canopy. The tree is knit in the round from the bottom up, with apples sewn on after it is stuffed and closed.
