I’ll be teaching a range of fun classes at Knit 2 Scrap 2 this spring. I really enjoy teaching and hope to have a chance to sit with you and work together over these projects.

garden gnome knitting class

Garden Gnomes

Dates: April 20, April 27, June 4, 7-9pm

Knit a woolly gardener! These sweet fellas are knit in the round and assembled so we will cover tips and tricks for working stuffies in the round, sewing them together, and bringing character to your creations. We will meet weekly and there will be work to do in between classes. Suitable for adventurous beginners who can knit in the round.

Winter’s Path/Thundersnow Hat Class

Date: April 22, 1-3pm

These two easy hat patterns are close siblings. One has lace diamonds on either side of the simple cable, the other uses moss stitch for the diamonds. This single session class will cover tips and tricks for the motif section of the hats – students will work the ribbing and the decrease section on their own. Suitable for advanced beginners who can work in the round, these hats are a great first lace or cable project.

Boot Camp: Fixing Lace Mistakes

Date: June 3, 1-3pm

Wouldn’t you love to know how to fix little mistakes quickly and big mistakes with confidence? You don’t have to rip back – fix mistakes instead!

Shawl class

Snowfall on the Mountains Shawl

Dates: 7-9pm May 25, June 8, June 22

This shawl may look complicated but you will only use 1 colour per row. Over the three sessions we will cover the garter tab cast on, working the basic crescent shawl shape, the snowflake lace, the mountain section, adding length if you want a larger shawl, and how to make sure you have a stretchy bind off.
