Do you love textured stitches? So do I! That’s why this hat practically designed itself. I was planning on working on something else, but after I released Winter’s Path, I couldn’t stop thinking about making a switch to a textured version of the cable and lace diamonds.

$5 CAD

Thundersnow is an easy, speedy hat that looks good on everyone. Moss stitch diamonds nestle in a simple zig zag cable for a high-impact motif. Bulky yarn makes this hat a fast, satisfying project. It’s actually a little potato chippy – it’s hard to stop at one!

This hat has a little more room in the width of the body than it’s sibling Winter’s Path, making it a bit slouchier. I was so tempted to add a pompom (or even a pomball!), but my son, who requested a warm hat as soon as possible in the fierce winds of early March, voted against a pompom. I encourage you to add one. ;-)
