The trip is going so well. We’re alternating excursions with quieter days right now. It’s that sweet spot of stimulation and relaxation.
We had a fantastic hike in Bad Bertrich up the steep valley and past the ancient lava flows and through misty forests. We followed it up with the largest schnitzels I’ve ever seen.
We went to Maastricht, Netherlands, and took photos of textures and views. The old city walls were grown over with wild flowers.
We went to Dortmund to meet a Ravelry friend for yarn shopping and a tour of the soccer stadium.
Tinkus-StrickParadies has an online shop, if you want Ito, Hedgehog, Fyberspates, Schoppel, or Filcolana. She specializes in Danish and UK yarns as far as I can tell, and brings in a full range of colours whenever she can.
My postcard to you reads: wish I was there!
