This design is hitting so many sweet spots for me:
✔️ it really shows off a speckled/variegated colourway
✔️ it makes great use of 1 skein of sport weight
✔️ the cowl looks like a shawl but can’t fall off
✔️ it tucks under a coat so perfectly
✔️ the tips for altering the length mean you can use all of the gorgeous yarn you’ve got

Wired Cowl knitting pattern for sport-weight yarn

$5 Canadian

Worked in the round with increases on either side of the cable, this cowl is cozy and bandana-like. It gives you the look and warmth of a triangular shawl without the worries about it staying on. Strands of yarn float above the work, showing off the depth and play of colour. Both the scallop stitch and the cable use slipped stitches to create longer sections of yarn that truly highlight the incredible La Grande Jatte colourway.

Unwind Yarn La Grande Jatte
